How to maximize cashback without breaking tracking
Use one path, check exclusions, and do not stack a coupon that voids the portal. Maximizing is mostly about not losing the rebate.

The highest advertised cashback rate is not the highest paid rate. Maximizing cashback means: pick a compatible offer, start from the tracked link or card, avoid excluded items, and keep proof if tracking fails. It does not mean opening ten apps and hoping one sticks.
A reliable sequence
- Confirm the merchant and category are eligible.
- Disable extra coupon extensions for that checkout, or test whether they void tracking.
- Start from one portal or use one card — not both unless the program says stacking is allowed.
- Pay as the terms require (some offers exclude wallets or gift cards).
- Screenshot the confirmation and check pending cashback within a day.
Compare in dollars, not badges
A 2% card with no pending drama can beat an 8% portal that fails half the time. Use the Cashback Calculator on the cart you actually have, then discount the result in your head if tracking is historically flaky.
