How to compare prices without getting fooled by “was” tags
Unit price, shipping, tax, returns, and typical street price beat a giant strikethrough number.

Price comparison is not opening five tabs and picking the reddest badge. It is converting every offer into an out-the-door number for the same item, same quantity, same delivery promise.
A fair comparison
- Match the SKU: size, model, seller, and condition.
- Convert to unit price (per ounce, per sheet, per month of subscription).
- Add shipping and estimated tax or GST.
- Subtract only cashback you believe will post.
- Check return shipping — a cheap item with costly returns is not cheap.
Use the Sale Price Calculator when a tag omits the percent, and the Final Price Calculator when discount, tax, and cashback all apply. If you cannot verify the “was” price, ignore it.
