Food apps make money when you order slightly more often than you planned. OnePlus-style memberships, bank codes, and “free delivery” only save money if your order count is already high. Otherwise you are pre-paying a habit.
Do the membership math
- Count last month’s paid deliveries.
- Add the discounts you actually used (not the ones you forgot).
- Subtract the membership fee.
- If the number is small, use one-off bank codes and cook one extra night instead.
Item-level discounts beat free-delivery theater when the cart is already above the fee threshold. Use the Coupon Savings Calculator if a code needs a higher cart — adding a dessert to unlock ₹50 off is a classic trap.
